Recreation & Destinations

Restoule is a central location just north of Muskoka. From here, you can access many of Ontario’s most sought-after destinations and attractions. Particularly wonderful are Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, where you’ll find the Georgian Bay Biosphere. The world’s largest freshwater archipelago is a Canadian marvel– and it’s full of family-friendly activities and education.

Did you catch the itch to take your recreational vehicles out for a spin? While Restoule is a hidden jewel for leisure sports like snowshoeing and skating, extreme sports like ATVing and snowmobiling are the favourite local activity. Here you’ll find the famous Ontario Federation Snowmobile Trail and Park and Ride Clover Leaf systems where you can rip around summer and winter on your ATVs and snowmobiles. Many Restoulians and inbound tourists visit the region specifically for this activity, so if you’re looking to explore, chat up one of the friendly local enthusiasts for the best-hidden trails. We recommend the D102C for a high-throttle snowmobile adventure!
